Ayesha Omar

Ayesha Omar is an actor, activist, singer, producer, entrepreneur, disruptor and painter. She has been starring as the Beloved “KHOOBSURAT” in the longest running and most popular TV show ever, in Pakistan, “Bulbulay” since 2009 to date. She graduated from the National College of Arts in fine arts painting before making her debut as an actor with PTV's Kollege Jeans. Since then, she went on to play multiple roles in hit tv dramas dramas serials like “kaisa yeh junoon”, “Tanhai”, “Roza kay Rozay” , “Habs” and countless others, She has appeared in multiple successful films like “Yalghaar” (2017), “Karachi Se Lahore” (2015). Ayesha is passionate about various social causes and actively promotes them through her social media presence.

KIRAN MURAD

Kiran is an eternal optimist who refuses to get jaded even after two decades in the advertising industry. She graduated from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in 1999 and went for her Masters to Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

Upon her return, she joined MullenLowe Rauf and swiftly climbed the ladder to Executive Creative Director. Her stellar career has seen her market everything from cars to tea, detergent to instant noodles, cooking oil to dairy, and biscuits to banks.

Kiran has also used her creativity and expertise to conceptualize and execute heartfelt awareness campaigns for KDSP.

She’s an avid reader and loves being her nieces and nephews’ favorite aunt, and mom to her sheepdog; Duke.

UZMA KHAN

Uzma Khan has been a part of the Media Industry for the past 16 years. She is currently the Head of Media at Unilever Pakistan where she leads the entirety of media functions and delivers brilliant media innovations across a variety of brands.

On a more personal note, she loves travelling, instagramming, and is a chess enthusiast. Uzma has used her prowess in the media industry to garner support for spreading KDSP’s message far and wide through various digital and broadcast media platforms.

ZEESHAN HABIB

Zeeshan Habib is the CEO of Pelle Classics and has been a long-time supporter of KDSP’s work. He also helps us spread the word through his active participation in the Donate-A-Thon.

He is a passionate campaigner for human rights and climate change and has initiated many fundraising and plantation drives across the country to provide opportunities to underprivileged individuals and to create a healthier environment for all.

Some of his initiatives include Winter Clothing drives for Old Age homes, Orphanages, and Shelter Homes. Financial and Administrative help for physically challenged individuals for Tennis and Basketball. And a 10-Day Covid Vaccination Camp in Korangi.

KHIZER KAYANI

Khizer is an accounting professional who currently resides in Saudi Arabia. The birth of his daughter Aida led him to developing a connection with KDSP. He is not just a Family Network member but is also an ardent supporter of KDSP and has lent his support towards raising funds and mobilizing his network for establishing KDSP’s potential Islamabad Chapter.

In his own words “I hope all children receive the same love and acceptance that my daughter has enjoyed since birth, which is why I feel so strongly about supporting KDSP.”

RUHBAIN ADEEL

Ruhbain Adeel is a Communication Design Graduate from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture with 15 years of experience and now leads the design team in her own creative agency named ‘The Art Store’ where she is the Co-founder and Creative Director.

Upon learning that World Down Syndrome Day and her daughter's birthday are on the same date, Ruhbain instantly felt connected to KDSP. She knew it was her calling to contribute towards making our society more inclusive and spreading awareness.

IRFAN HALAI

Inclusion Ambassador

Irfan Halai is Director at Espresso Coffee Houses Pvt Ltd. His association with KDSP since its inception is primarily due to his daughter Zahra, who is an Assistant Teacher with Down syndrome at KDSP.

Besides KDSP he is on the board of Society for Children in Need of Special Attention (SCINOSA) and is also a trustee of the Husamiyah School which is a community based educational institution. In addition to providing ongoing support, Irfan actively participates in the Annual KDSP Donate-A-Thon fundraiser.

SHIRIN HALAI

Inclusion Ambassador

Ever since her daughter Zahra was born, Shirin Halai has been an advocate for inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome. Her goal since the inception of KDSP has been to raise awareness. She actively participates in the yearly KDSP Donate-A-Thon fundraiser and has arranged donations for ventilation equipment and seating arrangements for the new extended KDSP facility.

Shirin operates a party shop under the moniker of ‘Perfect Party’ and runs a small charity program named ‘Recycle for Charity’. With funds raised from recycling efforts she supports several causes including treatment for patients at the Cyber-Knife unit, Hearing Aids for children at ABSA (the school for the hearing impaired), medicine for Behbud’s TB and chest clinic, and equipment and therapy supplies for KDSP.
