That’s why our Family Support program is designed to offer meaningful connection, guidance, and a safe space — so families feel seen, heard, and empowered. We offer various programs suited to the individual needs of our family network:

Informational Support Group (ISG) Sessions

Each month, we bring together parents, caregivers, and experts to talk about everything that matters — from education and healthcare to emotional well-being and development. These sessions are more than just discussions; they’re spaces to:

Emotional Support Group (ESG) Sessions
A Safe Space to Feel, Speak, and Heal
Raising an individual with Down syndrome can bring unique challenges — and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed on this journey. Our Emotional Support Group Sessions offer a judgment-free circle where parents can:

Humrahi: Peer Buddy Support
Guidance from Someone Who’s Walked your Path
Sometimes the best support comes from someone who’s walked a similar path.
With the Humrahi program, families joining KDSP are offered to be matched with an experienced parent from our Family Network who are trained to offer individualized support. This peer support system offers personalized, one-on-one support to:
